A Definitive List of 1/25 & 1/24 Scale Corvette Kits
What car has been produced in kit form the most times? This might prove to be a hotly debated topic but basing an answer on the following list will certainly place the Corvette by Chevrolet near the top of any list. Starting in 1953 there have been promotional models (commonly called promos) and annual kits produced for every year of Corvettes nearly 50 year history. To add to this list one must include the numerous releases of Corvette show and concept cars and the custom versions ranging from bizarre dragsters to mildly modified. The list continues to grow as Corvette enters its sixth decade of continual production and model companies continue to realize the popularity of this automotive icon and in doing so continue to reissue previous kits as well as release new versions of earlier years and each new years model.
I am certainly not the first to create a list of Corvette kits and have relied on much of this earlier work in my effort to create what I hope is a definitive list. The reason for reinventing the wheel, so to speak, was to update previous lists, include material that I felt should have be included and to create a list that was more tightly defined.

1983 - There were no 1983 Corvettes released by GM for sale, so no kits, but there are reports of some early '84 promos that had 1983 on the rear plate.
