1967 Corvette Convertible in Collector's Tin

Revell-Monogram kit # 85-4158

Review:

New Corvette kits will be few and far between this year and unfortunately no new ground is broken by R-M’s 1967 Corvette in a Collector Tin. As expected this kit is the excellent Monogram convertible #2968 released in 1995 and still available. The only advantage of this kit is that white plastic is used.

The tin box measures 8.5 x 9 x 4 inches with an attractive painting of a Marina Blue convertible on the top. Unfortunately the sides, rather then displaying more ‘67s is a running advertisement for other recent Monogram Vette kits.

Final Comment:

If you’re a builder, stick with the cardboard boxed kit and save money but if you’re a memorabilia collector you’ll want one of these. I can already visualize these empty tins showing up on ebay in a few years at premium prices.

Now, am I too old to start taking my lunch to work in a tin lunch kit?
