'63 Split Window Street Machine

The model

Revell’s second release of its new snaptite kit came out in pre-finished gloss Black with pre-applied flames. Since Revell was going for the street machine look, I decided to continue the look further.

The interior was repainted red and detailed including scratch-built fuzzy dice. Window frames painted in the kit were redone in foil. A scoop from the spares box was added to the hood. The stock tire/wheel combination was scrapped in favor of wider and lower Micky Thompsons and mag style wheels. Future plans for this model may include adding side exhausts and painting the bumpers black.

After sanding off mold lines, which were unfortunately quite heavy on this kit, the body was given a single brush-applied coat of Future.
