Penske Racer
Roger Penske is no stranger to racing Corvettes. He started racing his then new '57 Corvette. He was one of the drivers of the legendary Grand Sport. In 1966 he raced a Corvette with one of the earliest L-88 engines and finised first in the GT category in the 12 hours of Sebring in March. The same car had previously won the Continental Endurance race in February 1966. The car was originally red but the sponsor, Sun Oil Company (Sunoco) asked him to paint it in their corporate colors.
