2001 Z06

The fourth iteration of the C5, after the coupe, the convertible and the hardtop, is the purpose built Z06. This is an enthusiast car. Based on the hardtop body, it is powered by the LS6 version of the original LS1 engine. It produces 385 hp and it is only available with manual transmission. The option list is minimal. The exhaust system is made out of titanium, a first in the automotive industry. This car will carry the Corvette flag to new heights.

Note the Shark L-88 style hood, exposed headlights, and the air intake where the front license plate used to be. The side trim was also added.
