2001 Z06

The fourth iteration of the C5, after the coupe, the convertible and the hardtop, is the purpose built Z06. This is an enthusiast car. Based on the hardtop body, it is powered by the LS6 version of the original LS1 engine. It produces 385 hp and it is only available with manual transmission. The option list is minimal. The exhaust system is made out of titanium, a first in the automotive industry. This car will carry the Corvette flag to new heights.

Dean Jantzen built this Z06 from the Revell kit.  This kit got him back into modeling after years away.

Testors Model Master Italian Red #2919 Spray Enamel for both the exterior and the red portions of the interior.

Testors #1261 Glosscote after using the sanding cloths on the Italian Red.
