50th Anniversary Celebration!

Reaching 50 years of production is not an easy task for any product, but especially a car. But then, the Corvette is more than just another car. It's a way of life. We want to celebrate the 50th Anniversary with a year long gallery of real (1:1) Corvettes from our contributors.

On March 7th, 1994, I became the proud owner of a partially assembled '70, plus a truckload of parts. An eternal work in progress, my '70 is a Bridgehamptom blue T-top car with the base 350-300 engine with Automatic. It is a great weekend driver.

Robert Wheeler (Rockglen, Saskatchewan Canada) is one of the founding members of our site. His '88 coupe is pampered with great care. You can find him every year at the North Dakota Black Hills Corvette reunion.

Jay L. Kovar (Texarkana, Texas) has modified his already cool Quicksilver 2001 convertible with a Vararam air induction, K&N filter, TriFlow Headers leading to an x-pipe and B&B PRT straight thru exhausts. He has a lso added the GS stripe, black leather roll bars (not seen  in photo), and the obligatory Escort 8500 Passport radar detector.  Quoting him "Uncorking the LS-1 has already reduced the 18" rears to asphalt crayons!"

Robert Smith is the proud owner of not one but two C4 Corvettes! The torch red car is a 1993 coupe with black leather interior, and the green (which was originally red) is a 1986 coupe with saddle interior.

David Palmeter took delivery of his own white with red interiors coupe at the National Corvette Museum on April 17, 2001.

David's quote: "It is our 2001 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe with a 6-spd, Z51 suspension, the Big Package with all the "Shameful Luxo Stuff". It was delivered to us at the National Corvette Museum on April 17, 2001 and we have over 20,000 miles. We have driven it to both coasts on two different trips. And, yes, it did make the mandatory Route 66 run! Retirement and a Corvette - what a life!"

Jeff Robinson from British Columbia is the proud owner on this super clean '93 LT-1 Coupe, fully loaded 6 speed.  Jeff is the original owner and he has just recently replaced the factory tires and the car still has the original windshield washer fluid!
