2001 Z06

The fourth iteration of the C5, after the coupe, the convertible and the hardtop, is the purpose built Z06. This is an enthusiast car. Based on the hardtop body, it is powered by the LS6 version of the original LS1 engine. It produces 385 hp and it is only available with manual transmission. The option list is minimal. The exhaust system is made out of titanium, a first in the automotive industry. This car will carry the Corvette flag to new heights.

The model:

The model is based on the color scheme for the '96, but is painted in a modified GS color scheme.

Allstripes are masked and airbrushed.

Wheels are Testors Metalizer Gunmetal.

Overall Comment:

This color scheme looks great on the Z06. Terry did a great job at blending the new style with the GS scheme. Chevrolet should take a look.
