The 2007 Indy Pace Car 

For an impressive 9th time, the Corvette was selected as the Official Pace Car of the 2007 Indy 500.  This time, an atomic orange convertible was used as the starting point. The car is pretty much stock  mechanically, with only the special scheme and safety lights/equipment added to fulfill the Pace Car duties.  This time, 500 replicas would be available to the public.

Jay L. modified a Revell promo of the 2007 Pace Car. Here are his comments:

"The Indy Pace Car is a redux of the promo.  I removed the fake strobe light tampos since the rear deck cover is all wrong for them anyway. I installed the standard C6 brakes included but not used out of the above C6 Z06 kit.  The wheels were de chromed and redone in silver.  The promo snap in light covers were removed and redone with the black sealing strips.  The front air dam was painted as well as the undercarriage detailed."
