ASC Spyder

During the early '90s, The American Sunroof Corporation ASC, created a custom Corvette that was esentially a ZR-1 convertible. The windshield was shortened in height and consequently the side windows. Two small roll bars were placed behind the seats, in custom fairings. Among some other minor modifications, the hood included small vents, and the side front fender vents were unique. The car never saw mass production but it is possible that some kits were sold. At least two examples are known to exist: a black car with red interiors and a silver car with yellow interiors. The black one resides now in the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
