2001 Z06

The fourth iteration of the C5, after the coupe, the convertible and the hardtop, is the purpose built Z06. This is an enthusiast car. Based on the hardtop body, it is powered by the LS6 version of the original LS1 engine. It produces 385 hp and it is only available with manual transmission. The option list is minimal. The exhaust system is made out of titanium, a first in the automotive industry. This car will carry the Corvette flag to new heights.

The model:

Felice built this beauty basically box stock using Testors 1114 Gloss Yellow as a base color.

He then coated the model with a special mixture of about 50% Tamiya clear and Tamiya clear Yellow

After the decals snd emblems were applied, another coat of Tamiya clear was used.

Overall Comment:

I had the opportunity to meet Felice and see his models personally.  Pictures just don't make justice to his work.  This is another excellent example of a clean building technique and flawless paint.
